Quality Control
At Chinee Garment Co., Ltd., quality control is integrated into material sourcing, costume production, finishing, packaging, and shipment preparation. Our inspection procedures are designed to support consistent workmanship and accurate order execution for international B2B customers.
Because stage costumes, historical garments, opera costumes, dancewear, cosplay outfits, and character costumes differ in structure and decorative detail, inspection requirements are defined according to the approved product specifications. Particular attention is given to fabric appearance, sizing, color coordination, embroidery, trims, closures, accessories, and freedom of movement.
1. Incoming Material Inspection
Before production, incoming fabrics, linings, trims, and components are checked against purchasing requirements and available approved references. Materials that do not meet the applicable internal inspection criteria are identified for review before they enter regular production.
- Fabric inspection: Material type, color, surface appearance, hand feel, usable width, and visible defects are reviewed subject to product specifications.
- Color and pattern review: Colors, prints, woven patterns, and coordinated materials are compared for consistency, especially when multiple fabrics are used in one costume.
- Trim and decoration checks: Lace, braid, sequins, beads, tassels, appliqués, embroidery materials, and other decorative elements are examined for appearance and suitability.
- Component verification: Zippers, buttons, hooks, elastic, fasteners, belts, headwear parts, and role-specific accessories are checked for the correct type, size, and intended use.
2. In-Process Quality Control
Production teams follow approved samples, technical information, and order requirements where provided. Checks are performed at relevant manufacturing stages so that potential issues can be addressed before final assembly.
- Cutting control: Pattern pieces, fabric direction, matching requirements, and size identification are reviewed before and during cutting.
- Sewing inspection: Stitch quality, seam construction, seam allowance, reinforcement, symmetry, and attachment strength are monitored during assembly.
- Measurement checks: Key garment measurements are compared with the applicable size specification, with consideration for fabric characteristics and the agreed tolerance.
- Decorative workmanship: Embroidery, appliqués, braiding, sequins, and ornamental panels are checked for positioning, alignment, security, and visual consistency.
- Construction review: Layered robes, court gowns, opera costumes, Hanfu-style garments, dance costumes, and other complex designs are reviewed for correct component matching and assembly sequence.
When an issue is found, the affected work is separated for evaluation, correction, or replacement as appropriate. Inspection priorities may be adjusted for custom designs, performance use, special fabrics, or buyer-defined requirements.
3. Finished Product Inspection
Finished garments are inspected for overall appearance, workmanship, measurements, and completeness. The inspection scope is based on the product design, order details, approved sample, and agreed specifications.
- Appearance: The garment is reviewed for stains, fabric damage, color inconsistency, loose threads, puckering, uneven hems, and visible workmanship concerns.
- Size and fit-related measurements: Specified points of measurement are checked to help maintain consistency across ordered sizes.
- Closures and functional parts: Zippers, buttons, hooks, ties, elastic sections, adjustable parts, and detachable components are operated or reviewed as applicable.
- Performance suitability: Garment openings, sleeves, skirts, trousers, and layered sections are assessed for practical movement according to the intended costume design.
- Decoration security: Beads, sequins, tassels, ornaments, shoulder pieces, and other attachments are checked for secure placement where applicable.
- Set completeness: Main garments, belts, sashes, capes, headpieces, and other listed accessories are counted and matched to the order specification.
For character-based and historically inspired costumes, we also review key visual details such as silhouette, left-to-right orientation, panel placement, coordinated accessories, and styling consistency with the approved reference.
4. Packaging and Pre-Shipment Check
Before shipment, products are folded and packed according to the agreed packing instructions and the practical needs of the garment. Special care is taken with structured pieces, elaborate decorations, long robes, and accessories that may be vulnerable to pressure or tangling.
- Final cleanliness check: Garments are reviewed for loose threads, removable production marks, dust, and other visible packing concerns.
- Label verification: Size labels, care labels, product identification, and customer-specified labels are checked against confirmed order information where applicable.
- Assortment confirmation: Styles, colors, sizes, sets, and quantities are cross-checked with the packing requirements.
- Packaging review: Inner packing, accessory separation, carton arrangement, shipping marks, and carton information are verified as specified.
- Pre-shipment review: Relevant order documents and inspection records are reviewed before goods are released for dispatch.
5. Feedback, Corrective Action, and Continuous Improvement
Chinee Garment Co., Ltd. treats customer feedback as an important part of quality management. If a quality concern is reported, our team reviews the product details, order information, available photographs or samples, and relevant production records to identify the likely cause.
Corrective actions may include updating workmanship instructions, clarifying technical requirements, improving material or component controls, adjusting inspection points, or providing additional training to production personnel. Findings from completed orders are used to refine internal inspection standards and reduce the recurrence of similar issues.
For custom and repeat orders, we encourage buyers to provide clear size charts, artwork, color references, accessory lists, labeling instructions, packaging requirements, and intended-use information. Early confirmation of these details helps establish objective inspection criteria and supports reliable production from sampling through shipment.
